I could go on at great length about the origin and development of Lyra's character, which is similar to that of Athena's: she just sprang fully formed from the forehead, and as time has gone on and I've gotten to know her better, my perception of her changed from "abrasive, short tempered person" to "actually the most emotionally mature person in the group who has had to learn to stand up for herself and has shed the self-consciousness that comes with that." Looking at these pages always brings back these sentimental, shameful feelings of "wow, I can't believe I used to think that way." Lyra is great. I can't wait to draw her happy ending with her girlfriend/wife.
Also it is kind of hilarious that Lyra's introduction page is the one where I spend a lot of time talking about censoring swears, and she isn't the one who is censored.
