This page is wildly appropriate when you consider the events of the last 24 hours.

My husband and I spent the night in a hotel because our air conditioner isn't the greatest, and our apartment was a literal furnace in a record breaking heat wave. I saw a crayon melting on the sidewalk on my way home from work. 

There were/are also two huge wildfires really close to our house that have almost combined into one big wildfire and some neighborhoods really close to us have been evacuated - so, you know. I'm really thankful I have all my comic pages/archives backed up onto a handy dandy totable hard drive, because could you even imagine hauling that huge computer out to my car, good grief.

There's a chance this might further affect the update times/schedule of the comic in the next week - there are two unfinished pages sitting on my desk at home, and those are next week's updates. Depending on the fire's path, we might not be able to go home tonight, and if it's going to be as hot as it was yesterday...

Out of curiosity, would you guys be okay with me taking a one week break next week? Stuff is crazy busy at work and at home with this fire nonsense and I could do with a breather. I'll understand if that's not something you're open to, though.
